White House Hopeful Sues Fox for Barring Him From Debate

A little-known aspirant to the White House, John Cox, announced yesterday he is suing the Fox television channel for excluding him from its presidential debate.
"We're being fed a steady diet of Giuliani, McCain, and Romney," Mr. Cox said. "They're good people, but I don't believe they represent conservative Republican principles like Ronald Reagan did."
Mr. Cox, who preaches fiscal restraint, smaller government, and conservative family values, said he won several straw polls in South Carolina.
During his announcement at the News Corp. building in Midtown yesterday Mr. Cox had to compete with red-spandex-clad cheerleaders for the New Jersey Nets who had arrived at the same spot to promote the team. While dozens stopped to gawk at the women, few paid attention to Mr. Cox.
