wouldn't it make more sense for the imams to ban the letter "T" since it much more closely resembles the cross, and in fact, is the Tau cross of the Franciscans, current custodians of Christian sites in the Holy Land, and notable for the attempts of their founder, Francis of Assisi who approached Saladin himself with the message of peace.
