Can you blame neighborhood residents for not wanting some of these hideous buildings in their neighborhood? Construction is disruptive and the buildings are ugly. The infrastructure is inadequate to the level of development. The DOB doesn't have enough resources and on and on. This construction boom is not benefitting New York residents despite the housing shortage or rather the affordable housing shortage.
