Just because a view is a product of another does not mean it is essentially tied to that view. Nussbaum does not fail to recognize that Williams views of religious toleration are a product of his Christianity -- who could?
I persist in thinking that Neuhaus has misread Rawls and Nussbaum together, because he suggests that their brand of political liberalism denies the importance of religious motivation.
