FBI Playing Political Games With Taxpayer Dollars
Reader comment on: High-End Prostitution Ring Broken, Police Say; 4 Arrested
in response to reader comment: Wake Up!!!

Gov. Eliot Spitzer, is a Democrat, not a Republican. Also, I am more concerned with the 4 people arrested (including a 62 year old man)for violating the federal Mann Act., Gov. Eliot Spitzer hasn't even been charged with anything. The Mann Act, is an outdated antiquated law drafted all the way back in 1910. The original legislative intent of the Man act doesn't even exist anymore. It's basically just a law on the books being being used to harass the Emperors Club owners. There are millions of escorts, and escort agencies that openly do business in New York everyday, so why bust Emperor's club ? It seems to me that this escort agency was busted just to embarass and discredit Spitzer. I don't appreciate the FBI using my tax dollars to play political games. Rather use the money to help people who need it. Such as those people waiting for (FEMA) funds. All politicians are liars and hypocrites, the fact that he said one thing and did another shouldn't be suprising to anyone. Powerful rich politicians have "kept-woman" and high priced call-girls. I don't think it is in anyway a reflection on his ability to handle the fiscal responsibilites of his position. As for judging him a whoremonger...well there are few among us who are without sin...including you. There are way worse things in life then being a whoremonger, and being a whoremonger doesn't mean that he can't otherwise do a good job as governor....The real question is how competant is he at doing his job, and how competant would be the person who would replace him if he were forced to step down.
