Have you ever heard of a state/territory/unit/whatever you want to call it seceding from another ? You know, the concept that a new separate country is formed from within the previous? If it is accepted that Taiwan was never a separate country, fine. What if it wants to break away? Is that not possible? Then what about all the countries that HAVE done this? Can a country not secede because there hasn't been bloodshed? Is that the requirement then?
