in response to reader comment: Poor Judgement!

Since when has it been a negative to fight for what you believe in? Contrary to what Mr. Boateng espouses, there are many countries around the world that would welcome "this woman" Hillary Clinton as president. Hillary has travelled the world to promote better working conditions and the rights of women and familes. The Clinton admin. inherited NAFTA and the Congress passed it. Hillary was for free trade but had reservations about the agreement. She was First Lady and didn't have a vote. But in later years she stated publicly that the agreement was "flawed". We have now come to see that it is flawed and needs additional work. Should we penalize someone who has the courage to speak up ? In today's global economy we cannot become protectionist and ego-centric about trade agreements. The US must have trade agreements but "fair" ones that also protect our interests. This is a learning process and we can only become better by addressing any deficiencies in our agreements. Hillary is leading the way.

Hillary did not vote for a war. She voted for "the use of force" if necessary, to bolster the UN negotiations with Iraq. I am sure a lot of congressmen had their reservations about this. As did Hillary. In light of the information presented and discussion in the Congress, the resolution was passed. That the president was going to press the issue that weapons of mass destruction were in Iraq and a training ground for Al Quaeda lead to a war. Hillary did not vote for a war. She voted to help enforce the duties that a lax UN should have been tending to. Hillary also spoke out against the presidential power given to the president.

Hillary travelled around the states to promote healthcare only to have negatives ads and propaganda against the plan show up in each state. The Republican machine, insurance companies, big interests and backing by millionaires against the plan was relentless. It is to Hillary's credit that she took a stand and fought for healthcare and is not to be blamed by Mr. Boateng for trying. Hillary is a fighter!
