I seriously doubt that Jefferson, the man that removed all mention of miracles from his version of the bible and a noted deist would agree with your caricature of the influence of religion on early American thought.

Moreover, your assertion that "religious freedom in America was secured — and is today sustained — by religious conviction," is easily the most "risible" thought in this article. It wasn't a religious woman that brought school prayer to the supreme court.

I enjoyed this review until you allowed your bias, "father," to seep in at the end.
