ACS Closing Day Care Centers which Could have Provided UPK Spots for 4 Year Olds
Reader comment on: Red Tape Leaves Tots Without Pre-Kindergarten Schools

Submitted by Neal Tepel, Dec 26, 2007 19:11

At the same time the the Department of Education cannot find slots for children for UPK, ACS has closed 15 day care centers in New York City. Thousands of 4 year olds could have been served. Should you want additional information please email me at neal@tepel.org. Currently ACS is planning to close Lucille Murrary Child Development Center in the South Bronx and Childrens Liberation in Manhattan, another 300 slots.
