Banning handguns is absurd. Gun Control on the other hand is quite necessary. Please understand what I mean when I say Gun Control! I don't think any of us think it is a good idea for anyone who has ever been convicted of a violent crime to be able to legally purchase a gun. Furthermore, a Minor should not be able to purchase a gun without 1. a parent or legal guardian present, and 2. documented proof of having successfully completed a gun safety course. I also think it is a bad idea for someone of "diminished capacity" to own a gun.

The rest of us actually have a DUTY to own a gun! As long as the populus is armed, we have a chance to ensure that our government does not become a dictatorship!
