I am a 58 year old woman and in Illinois we really do not have a right to carry a loaded gun. I am also an intelligent woman who works for the prosecutor's office in Illinois. To carry or not to carry-I carry in the hope that I will never have to use it, but yet have peace of mind that my granddaughter and i can go anywhere and do anything we want. Fear cripples people and that is why people who have been traumatized by criminals touting guns decide in favor of owning and learning to operate a gun. I would rather take my chances in a courtroom of 12 than be buried by 6. I have also found that gun control fanatics are the very people that close their minds to the facts and history will continue to repeat itself.
