A NICE NOBEL GESTURE FOR A NOBLE MAN.
Reader comment on: The Next Nobel

Why not indeed? General Petraeus in his brief address and for the questions posed by his congressional critics he answered in the most calm, cool, collected and composed way and not an hint that he represented the military. It is strange that we could watch such a spectacle only rarely. His demenour definitely denoted that he was confident of the direction in which he was leading his forces. He appeared to be a man of principles and a man of personal courage and his outlook looked positive amongst all the outrageous things happening around him including the unfortunate ad published almost on his footsteps while entering the congress fortress. While I cannot agree on all the points drawn out by you there can be no doubt that General Petraeus though known only briefly to the world at large he will be no less a prize winner than many of the whom the peace prizes have been bestowed so far.
