Sir, Your splendid tribute to your friend Lord Black was touching and deeply appreciated. We in Canada have been providentially blessed in having our fellow citizen, alone, raise the standard of Canadian press writing from lamentably abysmal mediocrity to a standard, in the papers he purchased and created here, that made them no longer an international embarrassment and his competition had to run mightily in an attempt to catch up. His private devout religious beliefs have i am sure helped him to maintain his quiet steady elegant public demeanor in the face of tormenting pressures. Your tribute, in his hour of greatest need, is i am sure another important support. Again thank you.
