Why does it matter that they're "leading the charge"? These women have shown no hesitation in doing what it takes to gain fame in the blogosphere including denouncing their own people at every possible opportunity. A quick perusal of LaShawn's blog for any postitive coverage of African-Americans will only turn up the "Subway Hero" from NYC. And, even that is presented in a mocking fashion.

Of course, this does not take anything away from the horrific murders that occurred, but this idea that every horrible crime has to be national news in order to be "fair and balanced" tells me that conservatives have the same race obsession they frequently accuse liberals of having. Except conservatives want every opportunity to present blacks and other minorities in a negative light. There are more of us out here "doing the right thing" than not. Yet, we're not newsworthy. Where's the balance in that?
