This article isn't pro or con madrassa; it points out one pure and simple fact. The public school system of new york is for all the children of new york. I went to Catholic grammar school and high school. My parents paid to support both those institutions. Anyone wanting to send their children to a madrassa is quite welcome to. The idea that the Board of Education of the City of New York should support them is ludicrous. Using public funds to support Any religous education was never, and should never be supported. This isn't racism; its just common sense.
