When I first read the article, my first reaction was, "Are American taxpayers now going to fund another politically correct fad?" The answer is no. This is not a fad, it is a continuation of the fifty-year process of American schools, from grammar school through college, making the transition from Educating to Indoctrinating our children. Don't take my word for it -- get a copy of textbooks used fifty years ago, and compare them with those used today. Politically correct rewriting the history of our nation is virtually complete and even those perverted versions are not taught in many schools. The 'hard subjects' of math, science, physics, history, English, civics, chemistry, biology, and similar disciplines have been "watered down" or replaced by social studies, sex education, ethnic studies, art appreciation, 'diversity', anger management , and similar 'disciplines' that are on par with cookie dusting, basket weaving and ballroom dancing! Teacher control of classroom discipline is a thing of the past. The 'tenure' system makes it impossible to get rid of incompetent professors. A high percentage of teachers, professors, school administrators and school boards are dedicated socialists with a determination to "Change America". These people have no qualms about using their position of power (grades) to mold impressionable students into their own image. Parents now have very little input into what is being taught their children, how it is taught or what school they will attend! This will never change until American voters decide to stop Lawyers, Politicians, Courts, the Teachers Unions, et al from using our schools and our children as pawns in their ideological agendas. Wake up America --- I believe it was Karl Marx or Engels (?) who said "Give me control of your children for three generations and I will own your Nation". Sadly, we may have already gone past the point of no return.
