I'm no fan of the Chinese Communist Party or their American puppets, the Republican Party, but this is a question of what the law is, rather than what the law should be. Information, even about military affairs, that is available to the public at large, is protected by the First Amendment. Its application to a specific problem may be controlled as a service, but the information itself once made public can't be restricted.
