Reader comment on: Bloomberg Faults Congress on War

Submitted by Bob H, Mar 29, 2007 00:41

Mayor Bloomberg argues this subject better than anyone I have seen. Put yourself in the place of our solders when a date is set for them to leave. What will be his or her motivation to keep fighting when they know they will leave if they are succeeding or not. The congress does not think these things through when it tries to manage the war. If they want the troops to be brought out, defund the war now and be done with it. There would be less danger of doing that than setting a future date that the enemy can prepare for.
