Coliseum Books To Leave ‘Gaping Cultural Wound'

I ARRANGED TO MEET MY SISTER IN FRONT OF THE STORE. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WHEN I SAW IT CLOSED. THEY WERE TAKING DOWN THE METALLIC LETTTERS WHEN I ARRIVED. THIS STORE WAS always a high spot on my trips to New York. I still pass the old 57th street area where the store previously was located. Every time I come back to New York City Something is missing. On my last visit my favorite candy store. The Elk candy Co. that made the best marzipan in th world was gone. If the Strand book store ever closes, there won't be much left for me in the city
