Man Sues Over Expiration Date on Card ReceiptBy Special to the Sun At least two credit card machines at restaurants in Manhattan still print the card's expiration date on its receipts, which violates a law designed to curb identity theft by prohibiting credit card machines from printing such information. 
Credit card machines at Atlantic Grill, located on the Upper East Side, and Benjamin's Steakhouse, located in midtown, recently printed the expiration date of a card belonging to Marvin Frank, he charges in two lawsuits filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. Businesses with the machines were required to comply by December 2006. A spokeswoman for B. R. Guest Restaurants, which owns Atlantic Grill, said the restaurant is currently compliant and was unaware of any actual damage. "There has been no willful violation," the spokeswoman, Donna Rodriguez, said in a statement. The owner of Benjamin Steakhouse, Albin Brelvukha, said he did not have a comment.
