Orchestras Announced for Central Park Concert Series

The Naumburg Orchestral Concerts, an annual, free outdoor summer concert series in Central Park, will launch June 24 with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, it was announced Thursday. The first concert will feature Tim Fain as violin soloist and George Garrett Keast as conductor.

The following performance will feature the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, with Ani Aznavoorian as cello soloist, on Tuesday, July 8; next will be Sandra Rivera and Flamenco San Juan on Tuesday, July 22, and the final concert on Tuesday, August 5, will showcase the Naumburg Orchestra, conducted by Maxim Eshkenazy and featuring concert saxophonist Ashu.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m. in the band shell on the Concert Ground located south of the 72nd Street cross-drive.
